Dependence Can Be A Wonderful Thing!

Hi! My name is Marnie Swedberg and I have the awesome honor of investing eternally into the lives and ministries of women from every continent, denomination and economic situation.

I can still recall the day I began reading the book of Proverbs in the Amplified version. I was shocked! EVERY time the word "fool" was used in Proverbs, the note "[self-confident]" came before it.

Having always been proud of my "self-confidence," God set me back when He taught me that He prized dependence!

I have known Christ's love in my life since I was four years old. But it was in 1997 that I determined to live ONLY for Him. I threw away my watch and alarm clocks, I quit worrying about the bank statements, and began an amazing journey of dependence on Christ. He wakes me up in the morning, puts me to bed at night and orders my steps, whether I am in quiet consultation with Him via prayer or running His errands as I live outloud for Jesus.

My life is complex. My main priorities include caring for my family, supporting my husband as I manage our family restaurant and assist with our family's retail store, plus working in my own church. It is in the remaining hours that I write, speak, do media and provide these online resources. It's definitely a "God-thing"!

It is the prayer-, financial- and word-of-mouth-support that I receive from people just like you that God uses to make this all possible. I am grateful... and dependent!
